A well spent family time in Tagaytay

Spread the love

As we all know, spending quality time with family is important. Family time builds confidence, similarly it also teaches kids to interact with others, and most importantly create wonderful memories that last a lifetime. To celebrate a family occasion we visited Tagaytay. Here’s a look at some family-friendly activities you can do in and near Tagaytay City.

Korean Temple

Our first stop is the Korean Temple, which is a hidden gem in Silang Cavite. It is known to be the first Korean temple established in the Philippines. Along Silang – Tagaytay Road you can see a signage on the left going to Korean Temple. It is beside Lumbini Institute and few blocks away from San Antonio De Padua Parish Church.

Since it is not a tourist spot, it has no entrance fee but they accept donations to be use for maintenance of the facilities. Guests are not allowed to enter the main temple but other areas are accessible.  The place has lots of trees and nice garden, you can just sit back and relax and enjoy the surrounding. Most note worthy about this place is that it is perfect for meditation and soul searching.

To continue with our Korea Vibe we decided to dine at Samgyupsalamat for unlimited Korean BBQ.

It is located within the Zoo in Residence Inn. Once you avail of the restaurants unli package you are automatically entitled for PHP 100 discount if you wish to have a tour inside the zoo. The restaurant offers a nice view of the Taal Volcano.  Samgyupsalamat’s unlimited pork fare ( composed of 5 viands ) will cost you PHP 399 per head.  It comes with unli rice and sides which is mostly vegetables. I devoured with the grilled pork and my favorite fresh lettuce.

Zoori at The Residence Inn

After lunch we moved to check what Zoori has to offer, there was a small show of native pig doing tricks. You can also take pictures with Tigers and Phyton Snakes.

Eagle Ridge where you can observe the eagles and their behaviors. Zoo Ground can give a closer look with farm animals, you can also feed the goats and horses as there are available grass for sale ( php 25 – per bundle ). Another area to visit is the Aviary, you can get a close encounter with the birds and a chance to feed them with your hands or have a photo op with the birds. Zoori also offers other exciting activities such as Zip line, Cable Car, Zing Ride and many more.

Crosswind Luxury Swiss Resort

Since we are a little tired and the kids need to take a nap we resolve to check in first at Crosswind Swiss Luxury Resort before we go on with our Tagaytay Escapade. The beautiful architecture and crisp pine tree scents makes you feel you’re in Switzerland.

Acienda Designer Outlet

Its about 5:00 in the afternoon, well rested and the kids are once again energized when we headed to our next destination. Acienda Designer Outlet located in Silang. Since the establishment was new, a lot of stores are not yet open, while some are still under construction. Aside from the designer outlets and famous brands, the place is also Instagrammable.

Sky Ranch

It is a leisure park that offers horse back riding and mini amusement theme park. Sky Ranch‘s main attraction was the Sky Eye, the country’s tallest Ferris Wheel. There are lots of rides that kids will surely enjoy. They also offer carnival games which even adults will be delighted to try.

It was indeed a sweet escape and time well spent with family. This trip made me realize that by just being together makes a difference in our lives. Hence I also notice that during family travel, kids become more flexible and adaptable.
