Casa Amara, your home away from home!

Spread the love

Casa Amara is not just any other beach house, it is a unique vacation house situated in San Juan Batangas. A definitely awesome place on top of the hill overlooking green forestry and with an spectacular view of the beach. It will surely give you a taste of Santorini in Greece.

We’ve always been excited to spend a bit of summer in a beach get away. Just a week before the community quarantine, we got lucky enough to have spent a truly relaxing weekend in this beautiful place.

About the private vacation house

Casa Amara is not a resort nor a hotel. It is a private beach house. They don’t claim to provide service like in a hotel. No room service and other perks, it is their honest claim in their official FB page. The place is personally ran by the owners with the help of a very small staff. To quote a line from the owner’s lengthy FB post “There is no company behind it, just simple people consisting of mothers trying their best to serve you the way they would serve their love ones.” This is Casa Amara. There is no science to it. Just love.

The casa is inspired by the Casa di Guilleta (Juliet’s House). It was named after love, built with love and for love. It is built upon a love story.

I’ve been waiting for the Casa to offer promos and just in time for my husband’s birthday, they had the couple promo of Php 6,000 for a deluxe room including three plated meals. Room has two twin beds with television and of course a balcony where you can enjoy the wonderful view of the beach.

They have family rooms for 5-9 pax ranging from Php 7,500 to Php 13,500. They also offer penthouse, main house and villas with exclusive access to a private pool and jacuzzi. For more details, check out their official FB page.

Pools and beach

A common pool is accessible to all at the second floor. It is in very way an instagrammable pool. Other rooms have exclusive access to private pools.

The way to the beach is a 5-10 minute hike  from the beach house. It is a dirt road and is not fit for an elderly. You can opt to use your car but if you’re up for a challenge, then go for a walk. The good news is, the owner is planning to buy service car/shuttle to drop and pick up guests to and from the beach.

The beach has a long stretch of white fine sand but quite rocky and is not very kid friendly. I suggest that you bring with you aqua shoes so you can enjoy the clean and crystal clear water.

Food and service

I didn’t expect the food to be that good since we only availed of the complimentary plated meals, but I was completely surprised with the quality of food they served. We had dinner, breakfast and lunch included in the room rate and it was all really good. What I love the most is the special sinigang which I learned from Ms. Gemma is her own recipe.

Unfortunately, I was not able to take much photos of the food, but, believe me it’s all appetizing and delicious. Perfect for panlasang Pinoy. If you’re traveling with a group, you can request to have the meals served in the long table.

Bookings and reservation

As of this writing, the website is still under construction. You can send inquiries to their official email address: or give them a call at +639275797772 for faster transaction. Full room payment is required for reservation and Php 2000 security deposit should be paid upon arrival.

Check in time is 2pm and check out at 12 noon. Change in check in and check out time can be arranged depending on room availability. During peak season, expect that the rooms are usually fully booked. No waiting area may be available so I suggest that you give them a call prior to your arrival.

How to get there

A detailed route and instruction will be sent upon confirmation of reservation. You can use Waze, just input Casa Amara, Barangay Imelda, San Juan Batangas. You can also follow the signs “RPL Iland Bay”. The last kilometer is a dirt road. If you pass a chapel on the left side, turn right on the next road (not RPL anymore) and turn left on the next road, follow this road until you reach Casa Amara.

If you have reached this beautiful sight, then you’re just a few meters away from Casa Amara

I would say that the main selling point of this property is the spectacular view which you would dream of waking up to every morning. This you can enjoy from the privacy of your room. The only down side of the place is the small parking space, better to be early so you can pick the best parking space.

I like to commend the friendly owners and staff for such a warm welcome and excellent service. I look forward to going back again soon.

Hope that I was able to give you the summer experience you’ve been longing for! Let’s all pray that the covid-19 chaos will be over soon and we will be back to our normal lives and enjoy summer.
