Who wouldn’t want a soft, shiny, and manageable hair? Hair care is a general term for hygiene and cosmetology that involves growing of hair such as in human scalp. Routine for hair care may differ according to physical texture of one’s hair. Hair care is an investment in your confidence and happiness thus your hair is an expression of who you are. A woman who has straight hair wants a curly one, a woman with a short hair desire for longer hair and vice versa, a woman with black hair wants a change and color them brown for a luscious look. Even after being completely aware of the negative effects of hair treatments, a lots of women are still doing it regularly.

Due to the fact that my hair is stubborn, dry and tame frizzy, I’ve been taking hair treatments since I was in high school. I find difficulty in maintaining my hair as it is costly to have maintenance and I was merely a student before. And now that I have a job and good income, I can sustain continuously my hair care. In fact, I started using treatment shampoo and conditioner for almost one year. And one of the common treatment shampoo and conditioner is Argan Oil.

What is Argan Oil?

Argan oil is a product of the Moroccan argan tree found in Morocco, North Africa. Extracted from the kernels of the fruit of the argan tree. The fruit of the argan tree is small, round, oval, or conical. A thick peel covers the fleshy pulp. The pulp surrounds a hard-shelled nut that represents about 25 percent of the weight of the fresh fruit. The nut contains one (1) to three (3) oil-rich argan kernels. Extraction yields from 30 percent to 50 percent of the oil in the kernels, depending on the extraction method. It is being applied both in culinary and cosmetic. Culinary argan oil or argan food oil is use for dipping bread, pasta and salads while Cosmetic argan oil is produced almost identically, though the argan kernels are not roasted to avoid an excessively nutty scent. Cosmetic Purpose

Argan oil has a lot of benefits for hair and skin. Rich in essential fatty acid (EFA) and antioxidants including Vitamin E that ensure the function of repair of the skin and make your hair healthy, shiny, and smooth. It may help also to protect against sun damage, hydrate skin, reduce signs of aging, and even help control oily skin. Pure Argan oil is rather expensive, but when you look at the number of products (shampoo, conditioner, creams, moisturizers, lotions, and other skin and hair care products) you can replace it with, it’s worth. But be mindful when using any products with Argan oil, especially when you have nut allergies. You can always test first any product with argan oil to make sure that you don’t have an allergic reaction.

It is available in Watsons for only P270 per 350 mL bottle. I got the free Morocco Hair Vitamin last time when I purchased the conditioner. It’s capsule-like with a composition of argan oil which has an exceptional percentage of essential fatty acids, Vitamin E and F. It can be applied to hair, face and body.
