Lettuce Salad Recipes
Since I started my lettuce greenhouses, I had a fruitful harvest. And because it’s delicious and fresh, lettuce salad became our food staple. And I will share with you some of our favorites because it’s affordable and delicious.
Lettuce Salad Roll
Ingredients: Lettuce, Carrots, Cucumber, Mango, Kani, Rice Paper (optional)
Cut lettuce, cucumber and mango to thin strips then wrap it with crab sticks using lettuce and rice paper. Serve with your favorite Mayo dip and it’s ready to eat! It’s crunchy and delicious, best match with Kewpie Japanese style mayo!

Health Benefits of Lettuce
The health benefits of lettuce vary across varieties of lettuce, based on their nutritional contents. Iceberg lettuce is generally the lettuce type with the lowest amount of nutrients.
Bone Strength. Lettuce is a source of vitamin K, which helps strengthen bones. Consuming adequate amounts of vitamin K can also reduce your risk of bone fracture.
Hydration. Water makes up over 95% of raw lettuce. As a result, eating lettuce hydrates the body. Although drinking liquids is necessary, water in foods can also significantly contribute to hydration.
Improved Vision. Lettuce is a source of vitamin A, which plays a role in eye health. Vitamin A can reduce a person’s risk of cataracts. Vitamin A also helps prevent macular degeneration.
Improved Sleep. Extracts of multiple lettuce types have also been shown to promote sleep. Until further research is conducted, it’s unknown if lettuce in its natural form can produce a similar effect.
Lettuce Salad with Spicy Vinaigrette
Next in our list is our favorite spicy vinaigrette, apple cider vinegar with a little bit of spice. Ingredients. Lettuce, turnip or singkamas, tomatoes, boiled egg and vinegar. This is good option if you want to skip the mayo or the roasted sesame dressing.
Cut tomatoes and singkamas or turnip to thin strips. I also prefer to cut the lettuce then boil the egg. Add vinaigrette and serve! But it is much delicious when cold. It’s refreshing and kind of hydrating because of singkamas or turnip and lettuce of course!
Last in our list is this meaty lettuce salad, Chef Salad. Sometimes, you just want to add some meat instead of the all vegetable salad. Ingredients. Lettuce, tomatoes, boiled eggs, luncheon meat and cheese.
Cook the luncheon meat and boil the eggs. Cut boiled eggs and tomatoes to thin strips and I also prefer to cut the lettuce. Shred the cheese and mix together. I do not want this to be preserved in the refrigerator because I like the meat hot! This is best paired with Kewpie roaster sesame dressing.
TheKitchn also provides a good insight that lettuce is more than just a salad. It can be a soup, juice, as lettuce wraps, seared or sautéed and grilled. Additional ways are to braised, topped like a cracker, layered into spring rolls and wraps, rice and noodle bowls and lastly as sauce.
