Relive Your Childhood: Inside Yexel’s Toy Museum
Yexel’s Toy House is now conveniently located in Ayala Malls South Park, Muntinlupa City formerly located in Pilar, Las Pinas. I specifically pointed this out early because we keyed-in Yexel’s Toy Museum in Waze. The world’s largest community-based traffic and navigation app led us to the old address. The current location now is in Ayala Malls South Park since January 2018 and very much accessible to the public.
My colleagues and I expected to work on a holiday and we never did our research. Even our booking was last minute and we never even reviewed our e-ticket at least to check the new address. Nevertheless, we found it after several google search. We were so excited to take photos with Minions at the entrance and took several shots while the crews at the reception were still validating our bookings.
You can relive your childhood by visiting one of the branches of Yexel’s Toy Museum. Try the one in Ayala Malls South Park if you want to avoid the traffic. We bought tickets from Metrodeal and saved 50% entrance pass and got same day booking. Metrodeal offered weekday entrance pass for P125 instead of P250 and weekend and holiday entrance pass for P199 instead of P400; children below 2 years old, free of charge.
There were life-sized stature of our favorite Marvel and DC heroes. We were amazed how they truly look like Disney and Pixar characters, anime fan-favorites like Naruto and Dragon Ball Z. We had fun taking pictures and kids mimicking the poses of their favorite character like Woody and Buzz, the Incredibles, and Hulk. The toy house opened from 12 noon, we arrived around 2pm and we were lucky to have the museum all by ourselves for almost half an hour. It is open during mall hours and you can visit from Monday to Sunday.
Ayala Malls South Park Mall Hours
Sunday to Thursday 10:00 am to 9:00 pm
Friday to Saturday 10:00 am to 10:00 pm
Holiday Mall Hours
12:00 nn to 9:00 pm
Massive Toy Collection
There were also massive collections of toys from movies like Jack Sparrow from Pirates of the Caribbean, Star Wars, Toy Story, Hello Kitty, Sailor moon and many others. The toy house is not that big, you can finish in an hour but you will definitely enjoy striking a pose even if you are not a movie fan.
Plan your visit with family, friends or colleagues because it is more enjoyable taking photos with a large group. Pack also your tripod and selfie sticks so as not to miss out anyone from the group although you can always ask the crews to take your photos. The staff took our photo with Iron Man and it’s one of our favorite, seven suits for a group of seven.
Yexel’s Other Branches
According to Yexel’s message at the exit, we only experienced 1 out of 6 of his total collections and he’s encouraging to visit the other branches in Pasay City and Manila Ocean Park. His total collection since 1989 includes over 10,000 toys and 300 life-size statues. Book a day at Yexel’s toy house and you will truly relive your childhood memories. Visit Yexel Sebastian’s official facebook page to learn more about his latest collections. Click here to check his FB page.
Food is not a problem because the toy house is inside Ayala Malls South Park. There is also a Kidzoona branch beside the toy house if you still want to try other activities. We decided to go to Nuvali, Laguna to see the parade of lights. Unfortunately it was too crowded and we never had the chance. We just took a walk within the vicinity after dinner and headed home.
