Serene lake side resort-hotel you must visit @ Laurel Batangas
Swimming is a top of mind summer adventure. Summer vacation is never complete without having a dose of vitamin sea or a dip in the pool.
Are you’re looking for a place away from the hustle and bustle of the city, a place that offers peace and serenity. How about a visit to a nature friendly resort? We know just the right place for you.
Together with family and friends, we spent long weekend during Lenten season on a swimming adventure. Due to peak season, it wasn’t easy to find a place that it is not overcrowded. After some searches online, we found fascinating photos of this resort, photos itself will convince you to book right away.
Calinisan Hotel & Resort is a perfect place to have a get away from your busy schedule. The place has a homely ambiance and the scenery which envelopes the place will surely calm your stressed mind.
Resort amenities
Hotel rooms
We are lucky enough to booked the last two rooms available. Though we were not able to choose rooms, at least one room has a perfect view of Taal lake and volcano. Room features TV, mini fridge and may have coffee makers as well, Depending on the room type, some has Jacuzzi and bathtub.
Lake front family suite
A refreshing view of sunrise Morning view from balcony
Restaurant
Packed foods is allowed in the resort, with corkage fee of Php 50/ head. Given that we are travelling with kids, we opt to dine in the restaurant to lessen the hassle of preparations.
It took an hour before our lunch was served, and kids were already impatient and excited to swim. For dinner and breakfast, restaurant staff took orders in advance so we had our dinner just on time.

Cottages & grilling area

Garden seating area
This area serves as an events place, a great choice for garden wedding and other nature friendly photo shoot

Outdoor pool area
Welcome to their instagrammable pool area. It was a splendid pool of colors at night. Indeed a relaxing view and a picture perfect background. What I like about their pool is the elevated part along the pool side where toddlers/ kids can enjoy swimming on their own ( of course, with adult supervision ).

Lakeside benches and outdoor Activities
The downside is you cannot swim in the lake as it is prohibited. You will not even try because of the stench of fish when you are near the water, not sure what it is though. But there are outdoor activities for the group, a great place for team building or family gathering.

Other activities

Rooms, rates and price review
Rooms- rates come with complimentary breakfast

- DAY TOUR rates (8am – 6pm)
- Entrance- 250 / head
- Cottage – 700 ( good for 10pax )
- Kalesa – 500 ( good for 5 pax )

- Cottage – 800 ( good for 10pax )

I would say room rate is a little pricey. A room for four would cost about Php 1200 – 1400/head. Kids three years old and below is free of charge but older kids are required to pay entrance fee (if not included in the headcount per room). Food is affordable though there’s not much variety on their menu.
How to get there
The fastest route is via Talisay – Tanauan road by private car. If northbound, take South Luzon expressway /STAR tollway. Take Tanauan city exit towards Tanauan/Laurel/Talisay /Tagaytay. Follow Talisay-Laurel Rd. and Agoncillo-Laurel Rd. Continue for about 14km., destination will be on the left. You may also use Google maps or Waze.
