#SouthTravels: Batangas-Tagaytay Adventures

Spread the love

Have you decided on your #TravelGoals for 2019? I’m pretty sure you haven’t completed your list yet. If you’re looking for a quick getaway from the city, Batangas – Tagaytay road trip is a top-of-mind destination. A visit to the famous Mother of All Asia ? How about a dose of vitamin sea or a hot kawa bath?

To start with, let’s pay a visit to MONTEMARIA . It is a pilgrimage center dedicated to Mary, Mother of All Asia. It is a perfect place to refresh your mind and soul. Kids can also enjoy running around and playing while you take silent moment to pray and capture the relaxing and picturesque view.

The view of the island is indeed breathtaking!

Next stop is Isola Vista beach resort, it is a beachfront which is just 5 minutes away from the pilgrim site. Their main attraction, the instagrammable infinity seawater pools and extreme water activities which was featured in Unang Hirit and Umagang Kay Ganda.

During peak season, it’s a must to book accommodation at least a week before your trip. Food and drinks are allowed with no corkage fee so it is best to pack some food ready for grilling. If you have kids with you, snacks should never be missed out, though mini grocery is also available nearby in case you missed something in your basket.

According to the resort’s friendly staff, fresh fish is available in the next barangay, about 20minute drive from the resort. Stove for rent is also available in the resort, for only Php 300 you can avail unlimited cooking (but you have to bring your own utensils).

Cool wind plus night sea breeze is perfect for night swimming, chat time and a bottle of beer.

If you really want to enjoy beach swimming, better be prepared with beach shoes. The beach is not so kid friendly, it’s rocky and huge waves will literally sweep you off your feet but kids will surely love the seawater pool.

We haven’t seen any public transport on our way, it would be advisable to bring or rent a car. Also, no gasoline stations nearby so be sure to gas up on your way (nearest station is at Batangas City).

Our next destination is La VeryOl’s Mountain View Garden located at St Francis Drive, Barangay Francisco in Tagaytay City . With its overlooking view, it is surely a perfect place for relaxation and family bonding moments.

They offer both day tour and overnight stay but accommodation is available only for overnight visitors. We only tried day tour but based on some reviews, it is best to try their overnight glamping experience. With the cold weather, it is really an ideal place for a romantic outdoor dinner date and movie night. Bonfire is also available upon request.

What made our visit memorable is the superb kawa hot bath + massage for only Php 900. They also offer milk bath with different scent choices , bath bomb and facial collagen mask. Check out below rates for more details.

Latest rates taken from their official FB page.

Kawa bath will definitely soothe your tired muscles and lower your body’s stress and strain level and it’s really worth the price.

Having a bath with your baby can be the most relaxing bonding experience.  It will also help calm their tired nerves and muscles.
Yes, they do get tired of playing!

If you haven’t completed your Tagaytay trip yet, you can also drop by the Picnic Grove and Skyranch which is just a few minutes away from La Very’Ols. Picnic grove is best for simple family bonding while Skyranch offers wide array of rides ideal for kids and kids at heart. A must try ride is the Sky Eye, the tallest ferris wheel in the country where you can enjoy a top view of the beautiful Tagaytay!

Another tourist attraction you should not miss is the panoramic view of Taal Volcano.

Pretty sure you’ll change your cover photo after having a selfie/groufie with the scenic background.

What’s the best way to complete your Tagaytay trip experience? Try their famous “Bulalo” which is best paired with “Tawilis“. Variety of restaurants offers this specialty so you have a lot to choose from.
